Our days are limited and they slip through our hands faster than we can imagine. "Our life is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away (Jas.14)." The older we get the faster our days, weeks, months and years seem to speed by. We can't go back and redeem a single day for it has already been spent. Therefore it behouves us to use our time wisely, not waste it.
"You have not chosed me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that you should go and bring forth fruit (Jn 15.16)." We bring forth fruit by planting the gospel seed (Read Lk 8.5-15) and teaching them that believe how to do the same (Mk 16.15 & Mt 28.20). If a day goes by that I don't preach the gospel to at least one person, teaching them how to preach the gospel as well, I have wasted that day. For this is how to live a fruitful life.
Since I learned what the gospel is and how to preach it I can honestly say that not many days have slipped by without telling the good news (gospel) to at least one person. Even when I stay at home I'm able to plant the gospel seed when I receive a phone call or must place one. It is so simple to preach the gospel that every believer can and should do it as they go. But the evangelical movement has replaced it with their 'plan of salvation' that can only be preached from the pulpit (See PLAN OF SALVATION on www.preach-the-gospel.org). Christ commands us to "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature (Mk 16.15)." not present the 'plan of salvation'.
To preach the gospel simply ask another if they have heard the good news (Gospel means good news.) and tell them - "Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose third day (1 Cor 15.3-4)." Then teach them how to preach the gospel and encourage them to do so. This is the same gospel that the Apostle Paul received and preached and it is the power of God to save every one that believes on Christ (Jn 6.47 & Rom 1.16); but we must tell to them in person with our mouth just as Paul did (Eph 6.19-20 & Col 4.3-4). We love our neighbor by preaching the gospel to them (See TALK THE TALK on www.preach-the-gospel.org.) and we also love Christ (Jn 14.15 & 21).
By preaching the gospel we also lay up for ourselves treasure in heaven (Mk 10.21, Lk 18.22 & Mt 4.19), we speed Christ's return to take us to be with him forever (Mt 24.14 & 30-31 & 1 Thes 4.13-18), and we turn our world right-side up (See CAPTAIN AMERICA on www.preach-the-gospel.). This is leading a fruitful more abundant life (Jn 10.10), not wasting it.
Now that we know what the gospel is and how to preach it we don't have to waste another day of our lives.
