To preach the gospel to another simply ask them if they have heard the good news (Gospel means good news.) and tell them - "Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose the third day (1 Cor 15.3-4)." This is the same gospel the Apostle Paul himself received and preach (See 1 Cor 15.3-4.).
To those of you who believe that people are saved solely by our witness (how good we are) or our testimony (what Christ has done in our life) I offer the following passages of scripture:
"Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every person. He who believes and is baptized will be saved, but he who does not believe will be damned (Mk 16.15-16)."
"It pleased God through the foolishness of preaching to save those who believe (1 Cor 1.21 & 23)."
"I have begotten you through the gospel (1 Cor 4.15b)."
"Moreover brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you have received, and wherein you stand; by which also you are saved, if you keep in memory what I preached to you... I delivered to you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures...Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach and so you believed (1 Cor 15.1-4 & 11)."
"For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus sake (2 Cor 4.5)."
"Pray for me also, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak (Eph 6.19-20)."
"Many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear. Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will: The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds: But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defense of the gospel. What then? Notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice (Phil 1.14-18)."
"That which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ (1 Jn 1.3)."
Daily ask others if they have heard the good news and tell them - “Christ died for our sins, he was buried and he rose the third day (1 Cor 15.3-4).” Use words! (Also see TALK THE TALK on www.preach-the-gospel.org)
