The gospel must be preached to seven billion people before the end comes and Christ returns to take us to be with him forever (Mt 24.14 & 31, 1 Thes 4.13-18). This is the work.
But instead of doing the work we have become hearers only, deceiving ourselves (James 1.22-25). We worship, pray, fellowship and read our bibles, but we fail to witness. We are not preaching the gospel outside the church doors. Why? Because a little leaven (false doctrine) has leavened the whole lump. Man's 'plan of salvation' has taken the place of the gospel. Satan in his craftiness has manufactured this lie and the church has swallowed it hook, line and sinker (See THE BIG LIE on www.preach-the-gospel.org.).
Christ has commanded us to preach the gospel, not present the 'plan of salvation'. For a person is saved by believing on Christ after the gospel is preached to them, not by a prayer (Jn 3.36 & 6.47, Acts 16.31, Rom 1.16, 1 Cor 1.21 & 4.15). Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees (Mt 16.6 & 12)." "Verily, verily, I say to you, he that believes on me has everlasting life (Jn 6.47)." "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved, and your household (Acts 16.31)." It doesn’t take a seminary degree to preach the gospel, although some who profit thereby might like you to believe that it does.
Three truths the devil fears more than any other are – “Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose the third day (1 Cor 15.3-4). This is the gospel according to the scriptures, the same gospel the Apostle Paul himself received and preached (Read 1 Cor 15.1-4.). Paul wrote, “Though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than that which we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel to you that that your have received, let him be accursed (Gal 1.8-9).
We must also preach this gospel and teach them that believe to preach it (Mk 16.15 & Mt 28.20) if we are to be doers of the work and not hearers only, deceiving ourselves (James 1.22-25). Seven billion people (320 million in the USA) must have the gospel preached to them before the end comes and Christ returns and takes us to be with him forever. Meanwhile we turn the world right-side up (See IMAGINE on www.preach-the-gospel.org.).
Let's daily ask others if they have heard the good news (Gospel means good news.) and tell them (preach) – “Christ died for our sins, he was buried and he rose the third day.” Then let's teach them that believe to do the same. Let's do the work (James 1.22-25)!
