Yesterday I was refused service at two restaurants down the street from my wife's house in Thailand and after finally settling into one I saw another falang (foreigner) told, "We're closed." while the next person, a Thai lady, was gladly served. I was not offended at this because I know that the state of the unregenerate man is hatred, not love (See BORN IN SIN on www.preach-the-gospel.org).
We live in a world full of wickedness and hatred (See 1 John 5.19). When I walk down the street in Thailand I get stares from the locals, who hate foreigners (falangs). They are jealous and envious (other forms of hatred) because we make more money than they do and look down on us with arrogance because they think they are better than us. It's plain to see that religion, whether Buddhist, Muslim, Hindu, Jew or Christian, is not good enough. We must be born again to enter the kingdom of God (John 3.3&7) without exception. When a person becomes born of God (1 John 5.1) the Holy Spirit enters their heart producing good fruit (See Matthew 7.17-19). The fruit of the Spirit is love (To see all nine fruits of the Spirit see Galatians 5.22-23). Contrarily, the works of the flesh in a person that has not been born again are these;”Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred... (Galatians 5.19-20)."
A person becomes born of God (saved) the instant they believe on Christ after we preach the gospel to them (See 1 Corinthians 1.21 & 4.15 and Rom 1.16). For a definition of 'saved' see SAVED on www.preach-the-gospel.org. To preach the gospel simply ask another if they have heard the good news (Gospel means good news.) and tell them - "Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose the third day (1 Corinthians 15.3-4 abbr.)." The instant they believe on Christ they become a new creature and this (not religion) is what counts (Read Galatians 6.15-16.). Religion only produces hatred from the flesh, but the Holy Spirit that we were sealed with the instant we believed produces love (See Ephesians 1.13).
Imagine if everyone loved their neighbor as themselves instead of hating one another (See IMAGINE on www.preach-the-gospel.org.). This can happen, but only to the extent that we preach the gospel and teach them that believe to preach it (Mark 16.15 & Matthews 28.20).
