What is your purpose for living? To sustain your physical needs, get pleasure, obtain material possessions or money? These are common goals, but unless our purpose is to do the will of our creator we fall short of his will for our lives (2 Cor 5.15 & Phil 3.14).
Most people's lives are so tied up in their work that they really have no life outside of it. We come home from work, eat, and watch TV, searching from channel to channel for something to fulfill our inner void. Why not do God's will (Rom 12.2)? He created us for His purpose (Col 1.16) and when we seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness all our need is met, including eternal life (Mt 6.33, Mk 10.29-30 & Jn 4.36).
We seek God's kingdom by obeying Christ's commands to - "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature (Mk 16.15)." "Teaching them to observe whatsoever he has commanded us (Mt 28.20)." "For it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching (the gospel) to save them that believe (Mk 16.15, Rom 1.16 and 1 Cor 1.21 & 4.15)." (See SAVED! for a definition of 'saved' on www.preach-the-gospel.org.). Then the end will come and Christ will return and take us to be with Him forever (Mt 24.14 & 30-31 and 1 Thes 4.13-18).
The gospel according to the scriptures - "Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose the third day (See 1 Cor 15.1-4)." Is easily preached to anothers after asking them if they have heard the good news (Good news means gospel.). Preaching this to another in person with our mouth (Eph 6.19 & Col 4.3) allows them to believe on Christ and be saved (Jn 3.36 & 6.47, Acts 16.31, 1 Cor 4.15 & 1 Jn 5.1). Then we can teach them to preach the gospel as well (See TEACH THEM on www.preach-the-gospel.org.).
Let's not fall short of God's will for our lives. Let's preach the gospel and teach them that believe to preach it (Mk 16.15 & Mt 28.20) so that all mankind might be saved (2 Pet 3.9).
