That's a great tool you have came up with to exhort others to get into the Word. We know that it is vital that others feed themselves.
Paul wrote of Gentiles who were doing what they were supposed to do who did not have the word of God. They were fulfilling the law by loving their neighbors as themselves (Mt 7.12 & Gal 5.14) but the Jews who had the law were not (See Rom 2.13-15). In the same way, today's believers have the law written on their heart (v.15) but christians who have become hearers only, deceiving themselves (James 1.22-25). The established church is not teaching them to do the work.
The work is to preach the gospel to every creature, then the end will come and Christ will return and take us to be with him forever (Mt 24.14 & 30-31 and 1 Thes 4.13-18). But we have replaced the gospel with our 'plan of salvation' that can only be preached from a pulpit. Christ did not say present a plan of salvation inside a building. He commands us to "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature (Mk 16.15)." Therefore we should be teaching others what the gospel is and how to preach it (Mk 16.15 & Mt 28.20). (See DO THE MATH on www.preach-the-gospel.org).
The gospel is easy to preach by simply asking another if they have heard the good news and saying - "Christ died for our sins, he was buried, and he rose the third day (1 Cor 15.1-4)." In so doing we allow them to believe on Christ and be born of God (1 Jn 5.1). Then we can teach them to tell the good news as well, thereby multiplying the gospel seed.
Thanks again for exhorting others to get into the Word, but let's go a step further and teach them to preach the gospel - to be doers of the Word and not hearers only (deceiving themselves) (James 1.22-25).
